Camilla Sæberg

Camilla Sæberg (b. 1991, FI/IS) paints with oil on canvas as her main medium. She graduated in 2024 with an MA degree in Fine Arts from the University of Arts in Iceland. In 2017, she received her BA in Fine Arts from the same university. She lives and works in Reykjavík, Iceland.

In her work, figuration blends into amorphous forms, guided by the rhythm of gestural brushstrokes. Through painting, she studies the connections between trauma and creativity and the aesthetic potential in transforming the effects of the unspoken into tangible compositions. The subjects in her paintings emerge through dreamlike softness, gradually coming into being through the visceral process of painting.
